Power tool carbon brushes may be replaced quickly by unscrewing a carbon brush cap or by unscrewing a screwed plate that exposes the holders for the brushes.
Coil springs hold certain brushes in place; to remove the worn brush, just raise the coil springs with a screwdriver.
